The Millville Historical Society invites you to come and explore Millville's History. You will discover the City Directories, Millville Census Records (1830 - 1880), obituary file (1936 to present), Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Records, photographs, documents, maps, yearbooks, relics and so much more.
The Mansion House is a 20-room mansion built by David Cooper Wood and enlarged by Richard D. Wood. It was constructed of New Jersey ironstone, then covered by mortar and whitewashed. Wood's Iron Foundry created the iron door sills, the pillars on the porch and the porch steps with the open grating. The Millville Historical Society is currently creating a museum to the City's industrial past at this location.
The oldest surviving building in downtown Millville is the Baracha Dunn House, (1798), located at Second and Main Streets next to the Historical Society's Headquarters. This was the home of several businesses over the years.
